Fangotherapy and massage

Our Hotel has its own Spa that the Guests can directly reach from their rooms by a lift and wearing their bathrobes. Before starting the cure the Guests undergo a medical examination to check their the health condition, and establish the kind and the duration of the treatment.

Mud therapy involves four basic steps: application of the mud, thermal water bath, sweat reaction and toning total body massage.

The mud is applied directly on the skin at a temperature between 37° and 38°C, and is left in place for 15-20 minutes. At the end of the application the patient takes a hot shower and is then set in a thermal water bath at a temperature of 37-38°C for approximately 8 minutes. After drying off with warm towels the patient returns to his/her room where he/she should remain in bed well covered for 30-40 minutes.

During this time the sweating reaction continues the biological effect of the fangotherapy. The total body massage contrasts that natural sense of relaxation of the muscles, which is provoked by the warm treatments. Moreover, it improves blood circulation, tones muscles up and gives a sensation of well-being.
